Beyond 2020 NAEN Conference 2019

We were delighted to see so many delegates at our Beyond 2020 National Conference 2019, held from 31 July – 2 August on the Gold Coast. Significant attendance from within and beyond the GTO network provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 100 per cent of respondents indicating they plan to attend our next scheduled national conference.

Keynote speakers Stephen Koukoulas and Michael McQueen were unanimously popular. There was also tremendous support for Mark Hodgson on the topic of leading through change; as well as speakers from government, opposition, NCVER, industry, employment and the VET and GTO sectors.

Our focus on Indigenous culture and the talent of apprentices and trainees through TAFE Queensland was really appreciated, as were the inspiring Australian Apprentice Ambassadors and WorldSkills Skillaroo we heard at the dinner.

We will strive for an even better next national conference, with the location and date yet to be advised!
